On completing the Premier Diploma course as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist, I successfully enrolled on the 'Kettlebell' course having discovered this new form of training for Endurance, Cardiovascular, Strength and all over body conditioning to become a Level 1 Instructor.

After 4 years as a professional footballer on the books of Manchester United, playing for the reserves, once qualified I began my career in the Personal Training Industry in 2005. This was a natural progression for me because for four years, my time was spent learning how to eat and train correctly to maximise performance.

In the last two years with constant reading and study, my training methods have developed and I would say I am now a better athlete than I was when I was playing – knowledge is power. My training involves the use of kettlebells, functional movement lifts (squat, deadlift etc) and bodyweight exercises at intensity. One of my major beliefs is if you can’t move your own body then what can you move!

Moving forward I am constantly looking to increase my knowledge with my next two qualifications in being able to coach the Olympic lifts and also beginning a mentorship in January run by ‘Faster’ using the Gary Gray principles.

I train out of Total Fitness in Altrincham, Cheshire and am available for 1-2-1 sessions - you don’t have to be a member to see me.

Having worked in a military environment for 15years, training various ages and abilities one of the most common injuries (apart from bad knees) are lower back strength imbalances resulting in loss of manpower and the ability to be fitness ready.

So having been to the States to see the introduction of Kettle bells into their training we have now introduced them to US serving personnel in the UK.

With the advice and expert instruction of Guy Noble over the course of 2 days (my hamstrings and gluteus will testify to this) We can improve the posterior chain of the people working on these bases.
